Willowfield Private Funeral Home has been serving East Belfast and the surrounding areas for a number of years. Our continuing desire is to offer you and the rest of the community the best service possible by constantly improving all components of our business.  

We are a family owned and family run, fully licensed member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors.  As independent funeral directors we  have earned a reputation for a personal, sympathetic and caring service.

Our funeral home on the Woodstock Road, Belfast  offers  a  comprehensive service which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. In your hour of need we are here to help and serve you.

As highly regarded funeral directors, we tailor a funeral service to meet the wishes of you and your family. We also offer advice on headstone design and in  relation to new memorials, inscriptions and grave accessories.

Our service includes:

  • Contacting the church, cemetery, or crematorium and the person who will be conducting the funeral service to arrange a suitable date and time for the  service to take place.
  • Conveyance of the deceased from the place of death to a place of rest prior to the funeral in accordance with the wishes of the family.
  • Providing facilities for viewing of the deceased at the place of rest prior to the funeral service.
  • Providing the necessary vehicles and staff to conduct the funeral with dignity and professionalism In accordance with your Instructions
  • Dealing with all necessary paperwork and legal documents to enable burial or cremation to take place in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Placing death notices in local and/or national newspapers and if desired on social media.
  • Arranging for catering at a venue of your choice before or after the funeral service.
  • Making arrangements to convey the deceased to their final resting place following the funeral service.
  • Arranging special musical requests for the funeral service, such as a soloist or piper
  • Liaising with the clergy/officiate to provide order of service hymn sheets if desired.
  • Ordering flower tributes on behalf of the deceased's family and/or friends and colleagues
  • Accepting and caring for floral tributes delivered to our premises prior to the funeral.
  • Accepting donations for and making payment to a nominated charity on your behalf and providing the family with a list of those persons who have donated.
  • Arranging for transfer of either the deceased or the cremated remains of the deceased to another area of the country, or repatriation overseas for a subsequent funeral in accordance with your wishes.
  • Providing Information on how to arrange a pre-paid funeral plan with Golden Charter Funeral Plans which is a long established and  highly regarded national company.
